Preparing your generator…
How to use
- Choose v4 or v7 and the quantity.
- Generate a batch using your browser’s secure random source.
- Copy selected values or export the batch as text, JSON, or CSV.
Choosing and generating UUIDs
A UUID is a 128-bit identifier commonly used for records, events, and test data. Generate up to 1,000 at a time without installing a package.
Choose random UUID v4 or UUID v7 with a millisecond timestamp. Both set the version and variant bits defined by RFC 9562.
Random or time ordered
UUID v4 contains 122 random bits. UUID v7 combines a 48-bit Unix timestamp with 74 random bits. The examples illustrate the output shape; every generation produces a new batch.

Representation and ordering
Standard output uses lowercase hexadecimal and hyphens. Uppercase or a compact form changes the representation. UUID v7 values within the same millisecond are randomly ordered; this tool does not guarantee monotonic ordering or cross-device uniqueness.
Copy and export
Generate only when you need a new batch. Changing generation settings marks the old result as previous. Switching between text, JSON, and CSV preserves the current identifiers.
Up to 1,000 values per batch. Nano IDs support lengths from 1 to 128 and 1–94 distinct printable ASCII characters. Integers use the signed 64-bit range. Generation runs locally, with a 10-second time limit.
Frequently asked questions
Are these UUIDs generated on a server?
No. Your browser generates them locally using Web Crypto.
Does v7 hide the creation time?
No. Its first 48 bits contain a Unix timestamp in milliseconds.
Are duplicate UUIDs impossible?
No. Random UUIDs have a very low collision probability, not a uniqueness guarantee.
Does changing the output format regenerate IDs?
No. Text, JSON, and CSV reuse the current batch.
Can I generate UUID v1, v3, or v5?
This tool currently supports v4 and v7 only.
