How to use
- Choose a schedule type and edit its time or interval controls.
- Set the preview time zone and reference time.
- Check upcoming runs and copy the expression, or download JSON.
From schedule controls to Cron fields
A Cron expression is a compact way to describe matching calendar times. Guided frequency controls make it easier to produce a starting expression without memorizing every field.
The generated expression, readable meaning and next executions are shown together. Use the preview to check the actual dates before copying the expression into a scheduler.
Schedule controls
Each schedule type exposes its relevant fields. Weekly mode can select several weekdays, while custom fields let you describe a five-field expression directly.
daily · 09:000 9 * * *A fixed example; the time zone and precision are part of the calculation.
The scheduler context
The output contains neither a shell command nor a time-zone directive. Set the same zone in your scheduler and confirm that it uses compatible five-field Cron and day-matching rules.
Installing a schedule
Copy exports the expression; it does not register a background task. Download JSON when you need to keep the expression and preview together, and recheck the schedule after changing its controls.
ISO calendar dates, nanosecond precision and explicit time zones. Cron uses five fields, up to 50 runs within 10 years, reference years 1900–2199 and a 5-second processing limit. Time-zone data comes from your browser. Processing stays on your device.
Frequently asked questions
Does this page create a scheduled job?
No. It generates an expression and previews dates. Install the expression in your own scheduler to run a job.
Will every N minutes cross hour boundaries evenly?
A minute step restarts each hour. For example, */40 matches minute 0 and 40 rather than a continuous 40-minute interval.
Can I select several weekdays?
Yes. Weekly mode supports multiple selected weekdays at the chosen time.
Can I generate a schedule with seconds?
No. This generator produces five fields. A scheduler requiring six fields or a different Cron dialect needs a compatible expression.
Why might my scheduler run at a different local time?
Check its configured zone, daylight-saving rules and Cron dialect. The preview zone is not embedded in the copied expression.
