How to use
- Choose a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image.
- Enter the target dimensions and choose aspect-ratio and output settings.
- Select Resize image, inspect the preview and download the new file.
Resizing by pixel dimensions
A resize changes how many pixels represent an image. It can prepare an oversized image for a smaller display area or create a specific width and height for an upload requirement.
The aspect-ratio lock derives the other dimension from the original proportions. Turn it off only when you intend to set width and height independently.
Keeping or changing proportions
With aspect ratio locked, editing either dimension calculates the other from the source image. The calculated dimension is rounded to a whole pixel.
Unlocking the ratio stretches the image into the dimensions you specify. The tool does not crop it, add letterboxing or choose a focal point.

Resampling and output limits
The image is redrawn to the target grid with browser image smoothing. Enlarging creates more pixels but cannot recover detail absent from the source.
Both source and output must fit the supported dimensions and pixel limits. JPEG output also uses the chosen background for transparent areas; PNG ignores quality.
Checking the resized file
Compare the original and output previews, then verify the displayed output dimensions before downloading. File-size changes depend on both the pixel count and the selected encoding.
Still PNG, JPEG and WebP: 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side. Base64: 2 MiB. SVG: 1 MiB. File inspection: 1 GiB with only the first 256 bytes read. Browser codec support varies. No files are uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I enlarge an image?
Yes, within the output limits. The browser interpolates pixels; enlargement does not reconstruct missing fine detail.
Does this crop to an exact shape?
No. It resizes the whole image. With the ratio unlocked, different proportions stretch the source instead of cropping it.
Why did the other dimension change?
Keep aspect ratio is enabled. It calculates the paired dimension from the original image proportions.
Can I change the output format too?
Yes. Choose PNG, JPEG or WebP and the relevant quality or background settings before resizing.
Will my original image be overwritten?
No. Download creates a new resized file. The chosen source remains unchanged on your device.
