What DevToolsy provides
DevToolsy provides free, browser-based utilities for development and data tasks. Each tool explains its purpose, supported formats and limits. Most operations run on your device; API Request Tester contacts the selected endpoint when you choose Send. The website does not provide cloud document storage or backups. Scheduling tools preview schedules; they do not run jobs for you.
Read a result in context
A successful operation means the input passed that tool's checks, not that every system will interpret the data in the same way. Before using a result:
- Check the values and any warnings, particularly duplicate property names and large numbers.
- Remember that valid JSON syntax does not establish business correctness or JSON Schema compliance.
- Test important output in the application or runtime where you intend to use it.
Your input and your output
You retain your rights in the material you process. You may use the resulting files or text in personal or commercial work, subject to any rights or restrictions in the original material. Using a tool does not grant DevToolsy ownership of your documents. You are responsible for having permission to process the data and for deciding where to share the result.
Use the website responsibly
Use DevToolsy for lawful purposes and respect other people's rights. Do not disrupt access for other visitors, attempt to bypass protective controls, or seek unauthorized access to the service's infrastructure. Permission to use tool results does not transfer ownership of DevToolsy's name, branding, or original website materials. Third-party software retains its own license terms.
API requests and external services
Only contact endpoints you are authorized to use. API requests can create, change or delete remote data; review the URL, method, headers, credentials and body before sending. Your redirect and credential settings, together with browser policies, affect where information is sent. You are responsible for permission to make a request and for its effects. Sharing links open AddToAny and other external services, which have their own terms and privacy policies. DevToolsy does not control their content or availability.
Limits and keeping your work
Input size, document complexity, and processing time are limited as described on each tool page. Browser or device resources can impose additional limits. A page reload, navigation, or browser failure may discard work. Keep your own source files and save any results you need; DevToolsy cannot recover a document that was never uploaded.
Using hashing and security results
Hashes and HMACs are not encryption. MD5 and SHA-1 are provided for legacy compatibility; plain hashes are not password-storage functions. bcrypt inputs are limited to 72 UTF-8 bytes. AES: Keep the IV, salt and matching settings with the ciphertext. Input keys and passphrases stay out of exports. This mode does not authenticate the data. A wrong key may produce output without an error. Use GCM when you need tamper detection. Derive keys from existing key material with HKDF. HKDF is not a slow password-hashing function.
Local design and file processing
Frontend & Design converts colors, checks contrast, generates CSS styles and transforms CSS or HTML markup. Images & Files processes selected files locally for image conversion, compression, resizing, Base64 encoding, SVG optimization, QR creation and file inspection. No files are uploaded. Generated code, SVG and files should be reviewed before use; optimization is not sanitization and file signatures are not security checks.
Availability and responsibility
Tools are provided as is and as available, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We may change features or limits and do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free results or suitability for a particular purpose. Keep your own backups and review important output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Reading these terms with the privacy policy
Our privacy policy explains local processing, browser preferences, exports, and website requests. These terms may be revised as the service develops; the date above records the latest revision. Review the tool's current instructions and the applicable notices when deciding whether it meets your needs.
