CSV to JSON

Turn CSV rows into JSON with explicit header and type options.

Comparison, parsing and formatting run in your browser. Your input is not sent to DevToolsy.

How it works

Choose comma, semicolon, tab or pipe, or detect the delimiter. Quoted delimiters and multiline cells are supported. Without a header, fields are named column1, column2 and so on.

Options and data fidelity

Values remain strings by default, preserving leading zeros. Type inference recognizes JSON numbers, true, false and null without rounding. Blank or duplicate headers and inconsistent column counts are rejected.

CSV conversion supports up to 50,000 data rows and 1,000 columns, within the input and output size limits.

Working with the result

Files are read as UTF-8 text. The editors provide search, selection copying and keyboard shortcuts. Results can be copied or downloaded; changing the input invalidates the previous result.

Processing limits

UTF-8 input up to 1 MiB per document; output up to 8 MiB. Tasks run in a local worker with a 30-second time limit.
