JSONPath Tester

Query JSON with JSONPath and inspect matching values and source paths.

Processing runs in your browser. Your input is not sent to DevToolsy.

How it works

Use RFC 9535 selectors, recursive descent, slices and filters. Each match includes a normalized path and JSON Pointer; selecting a path highlights the original value.

Options and data fidelity

Structural queries preserve exact JSON numeric tokens. Filters use JavaScript numbers, so unsafe integers and precision-losing decimals are rejected. JavaScript expressions are never evaluated.

Working with the result

A valid query can return an empty list. Check property names, array positions and filter conditions. This tool limits results to 1,000 matches and queries to 4,096 characters.

Review the result, then copy or download it. Changing the input invalidates the previous result.

Processing limits

UTF-8 input up to 1 MiB per document, output up to 8 MiB. JSONPath and Schema: 5-second timeout; other tools: 30 seconds.
